Private food court design competition for a large chain of megarmarkets
The task of the competition was to propose the design of whole food court on the example of the one part: department of burgers and pizzas. We were short of time. In two days, we proposed a brief new plan and design of the flagship area, we proposed a light new plan and design of the flagship area
The basic idea is to use a starry sky map. The planets are the food court areas, and the Megarmarket chain itself is a guide to the world of flavors. Pizza and burgers are the main accent zone. It has an open kitchen and a pizza oven finished with terrazzo in the chain stores' signature colors. It's kind of like a planet. And above it is a mirrored metal structure that reflects the lights of the rest of the store.
The idea of a starry path is supported in the floor's finish: light points and metal lines for navigating the food court are inlaid into it.
